====== Fully Qualified Barcode ======

A fully qualified barcode includes the **[[:object:customer|Customer-ID]]**, **[[:object:media|Media-ID]]** and **[[:object:volume|Volume-ID]]** in a format that can be parsed into those separate values according to the [[subsystem:barcode|barcode translation table]].

For example a fully qualified volume barcode US04.LTO.123456L6, using the [[subsystem:barcode#add_a_barcode_rule|Barcode translation]] ????.???.??????L6 will parse the values:
  * **Customer-ID**: US04
  * **Media-ID**: LTO
  * **Volume-ID**: 123456L6

====== Unqualified Barcode ======

An unqualified Barcode includes the **[[:object:volume|Volume-ID]]** only and no reference to **[[:object:customer|Customer-ID]]** or **[[object:media|Media-ID]]**.
