===== Repository Options =====

The [[object:repository|Repository]] options allow fine tuning of a [[object:repository|Repositories]] behaviour to match your processes of [[object:volume|Volume]] Management.

To open the [[object:repository|Repository]] options, right-click a [[object:repository|Repository]] and select properties or double click the [[object:repository|Repository]] and select the options tab.


**[[options:repository:allowable_volume_ids|Allowable Volume-ID's]]**

When left blank, [[object:volume|Volumes]] with any allowable characters can be added to this [[object:repository|Repository]].  [[general:pattern_matching|Filters]] can be added to force all new [[object:volume|Volumes]] added to conform to certain criteria. \\
  Adding ??????L? will force all new [[object:volume|Volumes]] to have 8 characters including an L in the 7th position. 
  Adding US* will force all new [[object:volume|Volumes]] to start with a US prefix.

**[[options:repository:type|Type]]**

Select ''[[options:repository:type|Type]]'' of [[object:repository|Repository]] to change display icon to match [[object:repository|Repository]] function.  \\
The options are:

**[[options:repository:scratch_mode|Scratch Mode]]**

  * No Change: No change to the [[object:volume|Volumes]] scratch status
  * Scratch: Adds a [[common:volume_flags|Scratch flag]] to the [[object:volume|Volume]] when placed in a move status to this [[object:repository|Repository]] 
  * Un-scratch: Removes a [[common:volume_flags|Scratch flag]] from a volume when placed in a move status to this [[object:repository|Repository]]

**[[options:repository:scratch_priority|Scratch Priority]]** 

  * Scratch selection priority (0=do not consider).

**[[options:repository:offsite|Offsite]]**

  * This [[object:repository|Repository]] is considered to be offsite when set to ''True''.

**[[options:repository:primary|Primary]]**

  * This [[object:repository|Repository]] is considered to be the Primary [[object:repository|Repository]] when set to ''True''.  It marks that repository as the organisation’s main operational location—usually the tape library or data centre where tapes are created, used, or returned from offsite storage. it is primarily a classification flag. Setting it to True does not itself:
     * Make it the default repository for new tapes.
     * Automatically move tapes there.
     * Change the repository’s Next Repository.
     * Affect slotting, scratch status, or movement rules.

**[[options:repository:no_distribution|No Distribution]]**

  * When picking a volume that is destined for this [[object:repository|Repository]], confirm the movement when set to ''true''.   The No Distribution repository option removes the separate distribution/receipt stage for tapes moving to that repository.
  * When set to True, picking a volume whose destination is this repository causes TapeTrack to confirm the movement automatically. The tape is therefore recorded as being in the destination repository without requiring a separate distribution or confirmation scan.

**[[options:repository:internal|Internal]]**

  * This [[object:repository|Repository]] has an internal purpose and should not be displayed in all applications when set to ''True''.
  * Typical uses include temporary holding locations, processing queues or system-managed repositories that ordinary TapeTrack Lite or Checkpoint users should not select.

**[[options:repository:sort_sequence|Sort Sequence]]**
  * The order in which this [[object:repository|Repository]] will be displayed (0=first, 255=last) in the [[object:repository|Repository]] window.

**[[options:repository:force_simple_management|Force Simple Management]]**
  * When a [[object:volume|Volume]] moves to this [[object:repository|Repository]] always force [[cookbook:simplemanagement|Simple Management]]  when set to ''True''.

**[[options:repository:no_next_repository|No Next Repository]]**
  * When set to ''True'' this [[object:repository|Repository]] can be saved even though it may have no Next Repository.

**[[options:repository:allow_deletes|Allow Deletes]]**
  * When set to ''True'', Users with alter privileges can delete [[object:volume|Volumes]] in the selected [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:allow_overlaps|Allow Overlaps]]**
  * When set to ''True'' this will allow internal overlapping Zone locations to be assigned to this [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:deassign_from_container|De-assignment from Container]]**
  * When set to ''True''  Any volume confirmed at this [[object:repository|Repository]] will be unassigned from its Container. 

**[[options:repository:empty_container|Empty Container]]**
  * When set to ''True'' all [[object:volume|Volumes]] will be unassigned from a container when confirmed at this [[object:repository|Repository]].


**[[options:repository:do_not_slot_if_container|Do not slot if Container]]**
  * When set to ''True'' it will add a "Do Not Slot" option to a Container when it is moved to this [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:do_not_slot|Do not slot]]**
  * When set to ''True'' it will add a "Do Not Slot" option to any [[object:volume|Volume]] when it is moved to this [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:require_tag|Require Tag]]**
  * When set to ''True'' a Require a Tag value will be set for any [[object:volume|Volume]] moving to this [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:require_tag_reset|Require Tag Reset]]**
  * When set to ''True'' a Require a Tag value to be confirmed before a [[object:volume|Volume]] can be confirmed out of this [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:no_remove|No re-move]]**
  * When set to ''True'' a [[object:volume|Volume]] will not be allowed to be moved to another [[object:repository|Repository]] until it is confirmed in this [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:disallow_backward_next_move_date_changes|Disallow backward next move date changes]]**
  * When set to ''True'' disallow any update to the move date of a [[object:volume|Volume]] that is today or earlier.

**[[options:repository:reset_data_cluster|Reset Data Cluster]]**
  * When set to ''True'' this will reset the [[object:data_cluster|Data Cluster]] of any [[object:volume|Volume]] confirmed to this [[object:repository|Repository]]. 
  
**[[options:repository:confirm_container_contents|Confirm Container Contents]]**
  * When set to ''True'' this will confirm the Container contents for this [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:move_container_contents|Move Container Contents]]**
  * When set to ''True'' this will move Containers contents when moved to this [[object:repository|Repository]].
 
**[[options:repository:late_threshold|Late Threshold]]**
  * When a Late Threshold is set for this [[object:repository|Repository]] a [[object:volume|Volume]] will be flagged as late if the time it remains in a move status exceeds this value (600=600 minutes or 10 hours).

**[[options:repository:highwater_offset|Highwater offset]]**
  * When [[master:slotting|Slotting]] is set to use IntelliSlot (see below), the automatic [[master:slotting|Slotting]] process will group Volumes together in Zones based on the [[master:slotting|Slotting]] Order (see below) until the Slot Number matches the [[master:adjusting_slot_allocation#removing-occupied-slots|Highwater offset]]. At this point, IntelliSlot will stop grouping [[object:volume|Volumes]] and will put them wherever a Slot is available.

**[[options:repository:movement_mode|Movement Mode]]**
  * Automatically Confirm.
  * Bypass and move to Next [[object:repository|Repository]].
  * Automatically Confirm then move it to the next [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:next_repository|Next Repository]]**
  * Relates to the [[object:repository|Repository]] a [[object:volume|Volume]] will move to after it has been in this [[object:repository|Repository]].

**[[options:repository:enable_slotting|Enable Slotting]]**
  * When set to ''True'', Volumes moving to this [[object:repository|Repository]] will be assigned a [[master:slotting|slot]].

**[[options:repository:capacity|Capacity]]**
Sets the maximum number of [[object:volume|Volumes]] that can be confirmed or in a Move Status to the selected [[object:repository|Repository]] at any given time.

**[[options:repository:coordinates|Coordinates]]**

Coordinates can be entered for the geographic location of this [[object:repository|Repository]].
