====== Customer ======

A Customer represents an owner, or parent entity, of a group of media types and the media within them.

===== Customer-ID =====

A Customer-ID is a String of up to 4 alphanumeric characters and is permanently assigned at creation.

Each Customer object's ID must be unique.  

===== Customer Description =====

A Customer object has a description field.  This allows a user friendly description of up to forty alphanumeric characters to be associated with the Customer-ID.

===== Creating a Customer =====

A Customer Object can be created using [[desktop:master|TapeTrack TapeMaster]].

[[cli:tmss10batchloader|TMSS10BatchLoader]] can be used to create multiple Customers with similar Media and Repository requirements using a batch and configuration file.
