====== Primary ====== The Repository Option Primary designates the Repository as a Primary Repository . ===== Primary Options ===== The Primary Options are: * True: the Repository is considered a Primary Repository. * False: the Repository is not considered a Primary Repository. This Repository is considered to be the Primary Repository when set to True. It marks that repository as the organisation’s main operational location—usually the tape library or data centre where tapes are created, used, or returned from offsite storage. it is primarily a classification flag. Setting it to True does not itself: * Make it the default repository for new tapes. * Automatically move tapes there. * Change the repository’s Next Repository. * Affect slotting, scratch status, or movement rules. Normally, only the main onsite repository would be marked Primary. It allows TapeTrack components or integrations to identify the repository as the principal location where needed, but in ordinary TapeMaster movement processing it generally has no visible effect by itself. This is different from Default Repository, which determines where newly added volumes are placed when no target repository is specified <- ^ options:repository | Repository Options ^ ->
