====== Logging ======

TapeTrack uses the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syslog|syslogd]] service to log all system messages.

By default, the service will write out to the ''localhost'' on channel ''local1''.

You can change this setting by using the ''-S argument'' followed by the desired setting in format ''server:port''. If port is omitted, the default syslogd port of **514** will be used.
