Slot Management

Slot management allows you to block (or unblock) selected slots to be removed from the list of available slots for volume allocation. This is beneficial if you have damaged slots in your racking that can no longer physically accept volumes or if you simply don't want certain slots being used.

From the View Repository Map window, accessed by right-clicking a repository, right-click a selected slot, or range of slots, and select
Slot Management→Block.

Blocked slots will be displayed with the text struck through and a black background.
