By default, the Slotting Command Line Program will free up a Slot as soon as a Volume is put in a Move Status to another Repository.
Setting the Retain Moving Slot Option for a Repository will ensure that the Slot is not released until the Volume is Confirmed into the new Repository.
Retain Moving Slot option is displayed after the option Enable Slotting to True.
This option can also be set using the Batch Loader key option_noreslot.
