A fully qualified barcode includes the Customer-ID, Media-ID and Volume-ID in a format that can be parsed into those separate values according to the barcode translation table.

For example a fully qualified volume barcode US04.LTO.123456L6, using the Barcode translation ????.???.??????L6 will parse the values:

• Customer-ID: US04
• Media-ID: LTO
• Volume-ID: 123456L6

An unqualified Barcode includes the Volume-ID only and no reference to Customer-ID or Media-ID.
