The TapeTrack Framework Server is a Windows Service or Linux Daemon which provides the backend service of the TapeTrack System.

It provides the following functions:

1. Database management.
2. Communications management including compression and encryption.
3. Logging via syslogd and Windows Event Viewer (Windows only).
4. Access control and authentication with Active Directory integration and Kerberos Single Sign-On (Windows Only).
