Repository
A Repository represents the general location of a Volume.
Repository-ID
A Repository-ID is a string of up to four alphanumeric characters and is permanently assigned at creation.
Each Repository-ID must be unique within its' Media type.
Description
A Repository object has a description field. This allows a user-friendly description of up to twenty alphanumeric characters to be associated with the Repository-ID.
States
Current Repository
The location where a tape is believed to be, or in the case of a moving tape, the starting point at which the tape may be (i.e. the tape is somewhere between the current and the target location).
Target Repository
The Target Location is the Repository the Volume is or should be moving to.
Scanned Location
The Scanned Location is the last location the Volume was confirmed at.
